Can you really work anywhere in the world as an aircraft mechanic?
The simple answer to this question is YES! Well, almost...you can work in nearly any country that uses aircraft, which is almost EVERY country in the world.
And the best part is, most of these jobs pay EXTREMELY well. Right now as you read this, there are aircraft mechanic positions available in New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Australia, and many other parts of the world that are all paying $30 - $60 an hour.
Although many airlines have mechanics that travel wherever they are needed to work on aircraft, most of these positions I’m discussing are possible because of “contracting”. Contract jobs for aircraft mechanics are where you can make a LOT of money.
Basically, this is how it works: You hire on with a contracting company, who then refers you to one of the hundreds of contracting jobs available all over the world. Sometimes you will work in a place for a few months, and sometimes you can work there forever.
The best thing is that there are always hundreds and thousands of jobs available all over the world.
Imagine this:
You want to go to Egypt, so you take a contract over there that pays you $38 an hour. After a couple of months, you grow tired of looking at the sand and taking trips to the pyramids, so you decide you’d like to go to Ireland for a while. You pack up your bags and within a few days you are there. This time it’s better, though, because now you are making $43 EACH hour instead of just a measly $38. After working in Ireland for a year, you decide you’d like to live by the beach. You pack up your bags, and soon you find yourself on the coast of Australia. Beautiful women (and handsome men), golden beaches, and snorkeling in the sparkling ocean now fill your days. And the best part is, you’re still cashing those MASSIVE paychecks every week.
